Position Description:
Smart Transportation Advanced Research (STAR) Lab directed by Dr. Li Song in the Department of Transportation Engineering at the Wuhan University of Technology is seeking self-motivated graduate students (for master’s degree). Potential research fields include but are not limited to:
- (1)Deep Reinforcement Learning Controlled Intelligent Transportation Systems (强化学习控制技术)
- (2)Simulation and Control Methods for CAVs (自动驾驶控制、场景生成、仿真相关技术)
- (3)Control and Applications for UAVs (无人机应用及控制技术)
- (4)Big Data Analysis (ETC data, EV-related data, UAV videos, GPS trajectory data, safety-related data, etc.) (交通大数据分析、数据管理平台构建)
课题组可以提供的条件:

Basic Requirements: (课题组目前的基本要求)
- (1)认真负责,态度端正;(可以接受平凡(3年时光期待成长),但是不可以接受做事敷衍,混学历者不建议申报本课题组)
- (2)踏实肯干,勤奋刻苦;(不可虚度三年光阴,课题组基础技术需要刻苦学习钻研,每周有固定组会,有一定的科研及项目工作要求,需要时间精力投入)
Preferred Qualifications: (加分及优先考虑项)
For the Master’s Student Positions, applicants are preferred to have a B.S. in Transportation Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related discipline. Applicants should possess the ability to work independently and in a team. Proficient scientific writing skills and fluency in English are highly recommended. Other desired qualifications should include, but are not limited to the following:
- (1) Desire to break new ground and succeed; (具有创新突破精神,致力于攻读博士优先,或者致力于从事技术研发类工作)
- (2) Strong research interests in coding, traffic simulation, and machine learning technologies; (对编程有浓厚的兴趣,对于交通控制算法、仿真二次开发、大数据分析技术等兴趣浓厚)
- (3) Considerable programming experience (e.g., in Python, C/C++, Java, and/or MATLAB). (具有一定的编程基础及经验,或者致力于学习编程技术)
